I Mind My Own Business

Date

I sit in my place,

resting my mind,

resting my face,

waiting for no one to come,

waiting for nothing to begin.

A bird crashes against my window,

the sound shakes me up and I continue,

I’m contemplating on this life,

and on this moment of delight.

A car stops at my front door,

a man knocks and looks inside my window,

he sees me sitting and says nothing,

he rides his car and leaves with no info.

A cat jumps in, looking for food,

it sees me and grins with long white whiskers,

it walks around cautiously and smells the floor,

then decides to leave after it bit and chewed.

I sit in my place,

keeping my head straight,

keeping my hands relaxed,

keeping my mind lightweight,

resting my body and face,

waiting for no one to come,

waiting for nothing to begin.

The rooster shouted,

the morning passed,

time elapsed,

the body aged,

while heart renewed,

and the state changes,

after paying some outstanding dues.

I sit in my place,

I observe my space,

I mind my own business,

and slow down the pace.

  1. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a awesome job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!
